Project description

Oliver Rieche is part of a network of young Turkish and European leaders from all sectors who come together once a year to engage in intensive dialogue and to share views and ideas about topical social issues. The Turkey Europe Future Forum takes place alternately in Turkey and Germany, as well as in other European countries.

Short biography

Oliver Rieche is the Director of Legal Affairs, Carbon Procurement & NDC Partnership at Balance Eco Ltd. Previously, he was an associate at global law firm Reed Smith in London, working in the Environment, Health and Safety department. Oliver’s career also includes significant international experience, having worked on Western Balkan issues at the European External Action Service in Brussels, the German Embassy in the Dominican Republic, a political think tank in Washington, D.C., and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in Kuala Lumpur.

As an active member of several youth leadership communities, including Sandbox, ChangemakerXchange, and Global Changemakers, Oliver has a strong interest in civil society. He has represented the voice of the German youth as Head Delegate of the German delegation during the G20 Youth Summit (Y20). Oliver holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law with Politics (University of Manchester) and two Master’s degrees in Public International Law (University of Cambridge) and Commercial Legal Practice (BPP University, London).
